Coming Home Meditation (ZOOM) Is Tuesday at 9am EST and Thursday at Noon EST
Join us for a collective guided meditation woven from our own lives
Have you ever felt like it could be worthwhile to meditate not on an object or emptiness, but on the content of your own life? What is your life trying to tell you? What are you missing? What are your guides trying to teach you? What are your ancestors needing?
I love meditation and have spent a good amount of time sitting in silence. I’ve explored a number of different techniques and traditions—mostly from the eastern schools of yoga and Buddhism. But, these days I like to sit with my life. And I really like to sit with companions on the path. What can we learn about ourselves from each other?
This is one of the ways the feminine teachings of the great traditions were lost. So many of them happened not through scholarship, theory, or books. They happened in life, with life, as life. The goddess is life enjoying living…her teachings are embodied, enmeshed with existence, here, immanent. While the men gathered in remote monasteries and elite schools, the great female teachers lived among the people (or on the outskirts of town where you had to seek them out) and taught in the midst of life…through life. Life is the classroom.
This is one of the inspirations for my Coming Home meditations—I want to honor life and all it’s trying to teach us. We do this by opening the throat chakra to share and opening the heart to receive each other. And then we sit in silence as I guide us deep into the subtle imaginal realms where so much is happening. It’s truly glorious. I think it’s also accessible to almost anyone.
Come try it this week. I offer two sessions a week. The link is the same for both sessions:
