Sacred Heart (Retreat) Info Session TONIGHT 6-7pm EST on Zoom 🌹❤️
An information session/open house for those interested in knowing more about the upcoming Sacred Heart and our retreat in the Hudson Valley in March
Tonight from 6-7pm EST, I will hold an information session (plus Q&A) for those interested in knowing more about the Sacred Heart work that is coming through me and our upcoming retreat for women in the Hudson Valley March 21-24. Here is the link for registration for tonight’s event:
Please come if you’re curious about this work and/or interested in attending the retreat. We’d love to meet you and answer any questions you might have. I will give some brief introductory remarks, you can meet a couple of the women who came to the event in October, and we’ll open the floor to questions. Even if you know you can’t make the March retreat, but you’re curious about how the Sacred Heart is unfolding and possible future events—come!
A few words about this offering of the Sacred Heart…
I’ve already written a lot about what I mean by Sacred Heart, but I want to keep distilling the essence of it. What I am receiving and sharing at this retreat is something so simple it almost defies explanation.
What we’re doing is:
Inviting and bathing in a frequency of pure Love and Unity by… getting out of the head and into the Heart by… working through the fear that keeps us in the head and… overriding the faulty programming we carry around what love is and… abiding in the Truth and Spontaneity that arise in the Heart in order to… know who we are and what we’re here in Service of.
How we do it:
Movement practices, gentle yogas, dance, and breath work that activate the body and subtle body - any body can do these practices, this is not hardcore or vigorous
Heart-opening dialogue and embodied reading of poetry and scripture from different traditions that activate and transmit the Wisdom of the Heart
Prayer and the invocation of deities and divine energies that support access to all the dimensions of the heart
Time in Nature and playing with with the elements to return to our Natural State of Being
Remembering Sisterhood as a way that supports and nourishes a woman’s blossoming into her full potential—supporting, mirroring, and seeing each other beyond the wounds of patriarchy that divide women and pit us against one another in subtle (and not so subtle) ways.
What it takes:
This is not an advanced practice, but it is exceedingly rare. It doesn’t require fancy yoga skills or hours of meditation or years of practice on a path, but it does require enough life experience to know what’s real, open mindedness, a willingness to let go of old ways and modes of being, and a trust in things that you feel but can’t see with your eyes or understand with the rational mind. It builds compassion and empathy, takes courage, and delivers nothing less than bliss.
I experience these weekend retreats as the opening of a portal. We step into the Sacred Heart together and let it do its work on us. What that means for each woman will be different and supremely personal. This is part of what makes it hard to describe in the abstract.
My role, as facilitator and guide, is to open the channel for the frequency of Love, maintain steadiness and coherence, and tend the field that is holding us. I give my whole heart to this. When it happens, what we experience is nothing short of miraculous. I invite you to see for yourself!
With love, in love, and as love.
