The Joy of Embodiment ~ A New Online Course Offering
Join me for a 12-week journey into the heart of embodiment to experience yourself and the world in a whole new way. We'll heal, feel, and yes, have fun.
Dear Friends,
I’m excited to offer this new course on the art and practice of embodiment starting September 4. It will be open to all and will be my most comprehensive offering to-date on the subject. I’m so ready for this. Are you?
Join me for a live informational session and Q&A on Tuesday, August 9 at 6pm EST to learn more…
OR, if you know my work and you’d like to go ahead and register, sign up here!
The title of the course speaks to something I have recently come to understand about embodiment. It sounds simple, but it’s actually profound: There is a particular and incredible JOY that embodiment brings to our experience of life. It makes everything richer, more textured, more vivid, more alive, more brilliant, more satisfying.
Yes, it’s hard at first as the feelings we’ve been trying to avoid come into our awareness.
Yes, there’s regret when you begin to understand the extent to which you’ve silenced your body’s wisdom.
And yes, it can be hard to feel deeply when you are surrounded by people who don’t or can’t feel with you. Not everyone is on this train…yet.
But, all of that is just temporary. It’s part of the transition period. It’s the beginning of what could be the most precious journey you ever take—back to your direct knowing, intuitive fluency, and intimacy with life.
Embodiment is essential to awakening and living a self-authoring life. It is the key to living in the moment and being able to sense directly into what’s arising. It is integral to living a life of emergence. And even though it can be uncomfortable, especially as we shed or transmute the layers of armor and the padding of numbness we used to insulate ourselves from the world, it can bring us into aliveness once more.
This course will be a special experience. I will limit it to 22 participants so we can cultivate a real sense of community and get to know each other. Embodiment is a relational practice.
We will also incorporate aspects of ritual, creative expression/art, and practices for bringing more sensuality and embodied joy into everyday life.
We will meet twelve Sundays (dates below) from 12pm-2pm EST. Class sessions will include:
Instruction, lessons, dharma talks
Group dialogue
Embodied meditation
Embodiment practices
Storytelling/art and mandala-making
Small group breakouts
I will be presenting most of the material, but I will bring in 3-4 guest presenters over the duration of the course. I will announce these presenters in the near future.
Sessions will be recorded for participants to review afterwards.
1:1 Guidance: I will also keep an “office hours” period each month for 45-minute individual sessions. Each participant will be entitled to one 1:1 with me for refinement of practices and personal understanding.
I highly recommend this course if you are wanting to deepen your experience of embodiment or you are curious how you can heal trauma through the body. It will be deep, fun, and challenging. You will feel and learn a lot. I promise. It will be especially helpful if you’ve been looking for:
a deeper listening in your body, connection to your intuition
relief from chronic stress, anxiety, or feelings of alienation
awakening of subtle competencies related to empathy and healing
more capacity to hold space for yourself and others
more aliveness and relatedness in your life
ways to feel more grounded and steady in your life
In the past, my deep dive courses have been an incredible and transformational experience for all—including me. We truly make magic. My goal is to create and hold a strong alchemical container for real life changes and development of consciousness
