Reminder: Tomorrow Night Is The Art of Embodied Conversation VI ~ Divine Feminine

Hello friends,

I already wrote a pretty lengthy post about the event David and I are doing together tomorrow night from 6-8pm EST on Zoom. I’m writing now to remind you to register if you’d like to join us.

David and I have refined our intention to be more specific. I was having a concern that evoking “a true and full experience of the Divine Feminine” might be too broad. The forms of the Divine Feminine are innumerable and vast. She is ever-changing, spontaneous, swift, and playful in Her nature, so She can respond to the sincere requests of devotees and those in need of Her succor and care. So, we have refined the request to this:

“a true and full experience of the Divine Feminine needed by us now—by those of us in this ZOOM room, and the broader circle of “us” who are dedicated to birthing the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.”

Over the past few sessions, we have found that narrowing the request to speak specifically to those of us who are present, is helpful and seems to make the experience more personally meaningful for all in attendance. When we ask for the Divine to speak to us, they do so in ways each of us can hear as intimate and meant for us. I know this will be the case with the Divine Feminine tomorrow night. And I know it will be beautiful because She is beautiful. If you can make it and you want to reflect beforehand on what aspect of Feminine power, wisdom, and grace you are in need of now, I believe your heart’s desire will be met. Or maybe you want to leave it open and simply attend to witness and honor Her in whatever form She takes.

The cool and scary thing is this: we cannot know what that will be.

I have enormous reverence for the Divine Feminine in her myriad forms. I feel closer (archetypically and energetically) to some forms: Gaia, Shakti, Prajnaparamita, Saraswati, Sophia, Yeshe Tsogyal, Durga, Mary Magdalene, Inanna/Enheduanna, Tathagatagarbha, Lakota Grandmother, Kuan-Yin, the plants, the moon…these are special to me in this life. But, I love them all and treasure every direct experience I have of Her.

I also love the way She is present in the most humble of places…and in our care and relating, in the Love that connects the world. She is the glue. I feel Her when I am mothering, when I am a daughter, when I am with my lover. I feel Her in my body when I move, in sensual pleasure, in my emotionality, in my instantaneous intuitive knowing. I feel Her in my Heart. I feel Her in a kind of wisdom we desperately need more of NOW.

Last, but not least…I want to honor all of the beings of any gender or sex who have kept the wisdom and worship of the Divine Feminine and this Earth alive through these last few thousand years. It’s been a bitch. There have been centuries when practicing her arts and magic was grounds for execution. Much of it was kept alive underground, secretly, through symbols and gestures and the hidden meaning of things. Some of Her wisdom has been lost and is now being recovered, remembered. The integration of Feminine Wisdom and the Divine Feminine is “the third attractor,” it is essential to the world we’re birthing…what birth can take place without HER?
