Upcoming Course, The Joy of Embodiment, Starts Sept 4! ~ Curious? Here's a Video Intro
Dear Friends,
If you’re curious about embodiment and want an incredible experience this fall, join me and a small group of intrepid explorers for The Joy of Embodiment.
It runs for 12 Sundays from 12-2pm EST, September 4—November 20. All sessions will be recorded so you can miss one if you need. The course will be limited to 20 participants. It’s going to be truly transformational!
If you aren’t yet sure…I prepared this brief video to introduce you to the content so you can feel into it for yourself. Please feel free to forward this or leave questions in the comments section. I will be sure to answer them here.
You might wonder about embodiment: What is there to learn? I’m here to tell you, there is a lot to learn and a lot to un-learn; a lot to practice and a lot to release; a lot to feel and a lot to integrate. We have to start at the ground level. We have to pause, reflect and refine what we think we know. Otherwise even embodiment can remain an intellectual abstraction or mental construct.
Unless you were raised in very special circumstances (like within an indigenous community setting) you were acculturated into a disembodied worldview and norms. To undo this, to unlearn it, is to reclaim our natural instincts and our wild wisdom. This doesn’t happen through interpretation or logic, but through deconstruction and direct experience. The learning can be briefly uncomfortable but leads to incredibly familiar and wonderful territories within yourself…it’s a remembering at the level of the soul. It is a re-incarnation.
When we do this together, we can also learn from each other’s direct experience. When one nervous system opens and learns something, other nervous systems respond. This is part of why the group dynamic of this class matters so much to me. We can teach each other, our bodies will teach each other. We will learn faster and go farther together.
